Delete Your RecallX Account
You can permanently delete your RecallX account, personal information, and all associated cloud study data at any time.
Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to permanently erase your data is directly within the RecallX mobile app:
- Step 1: Launch the RecallX app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
- Step 2: Tap on the Settings icon in the bottom navigation.
- Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen and tap "Delete Account".
- Step 4: In the confirmation dialog, type
DELETEin capital letters. - Step 5: Tap "Delete account" to finalize. Your cloud data and account will be immediately deleted.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account, our backend permanently and irrevocably removes:
- Authentication Record: Your Firebase Auth account and sign-in credentials.
- Study Content: All subjects, chapters, topics, flashcards, revision notes, and study schedules.
- Study Statistics: Active streaks, focus timer history, and study session records.
- Community & Social: Your leaderboard profile, rankings, and study buddy links.
- Cloud Storage: Any uploaded custom avatar pictures and attachments.
De-Identified Audit Records
To comply with financial accounting regulations and prevent purchase fraud, active store purchase tokens are unlinked from your UID and anonymized using a one-way cryptographic hash. RecallX retains no personally identifiable information linked to these audit records.
Important: Canceling Store Subscriptions
Deleting your RecallX account does not automatically cancel active auto-renewing subscriptions on Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To avoid future billing, please cancel your active subscription in your device store settings before deleting your account:
- Apple: iOS Settings > [Apple Account] > Subscriptions > RecallX > Cancel.
- Google: Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Cancel.
Method 2: Manual Web Deletion Request
If you no longer have access to your mobile device or need assistance, you can submit a manual deletion request by emailing our support team:
Please send your request from the email address associated with your RecallX account. Our team will verify and process the permanent deletion of your data.
